Thursday's Flavors

I can't believe it's Thursday already. It's been a hectic week for a delivery business, let's just say. We got a lot of cancellations on Monday due to the bad weather and have been catching up ever since. Anyhow, here's a look at what we baked today. It's becoming our 'signature' baker's choice in some way.

Cupcakes for a Cause week is here!

Hey y'all!
Two posts in one day - Woo HOO!

Okay, so I'm thrilled that Cupcakes for a Cause week is finally here. I've posted about it previously here. Lenox Cupcakes is one of over 200 bakeries nationwide participating in a campaign to raise funds for CancerCare for Kids. Throughout this week (from September 21-27), proceeds from the sale of every cupcake will be donated to this cause. Please join us in making this campaign a success.

I am particularly thankful for the work that CancerCare does in providing free services to children and families affected by cancer. It takes a joint effort to keep that going and I hope you'll be a part of it. Not only do you get delicioso cupcakes, but you'll be giving to a worthy organization as well. Did I mention that we are topping the cupcakes with the cute-as-a-button sugar candies with the smiley face logo for CancerCare for Kids? In addition, the first 100 customers will receive a $20 gift card to 1800flowers.com.

Happy Monday, people!

It's a rainy, rainy day here in Georgia but we're out and about making our deliveries. Hi Everyone:

Here's what we've baked so far today:

A few words about Banana Gregg - It is named after my son :-) When he was an itsy bitsy baby, his favorite thing to eat was a banana so of course when I had to come up with a name for my banana cupcake; it was only natural that I name it after him. K. Little known fact right there.
Just as an added bonus, we're topping this yummolish organic banana cupcake with a sweet cream cheese frosting and a drizzle of our buttery caramel. Right in the middle of all this goodness, we've landed a thin, crispy, salty, banana chip on top of the mound of frosting. You've got to taste it to believe it. My camera's out (a little someone threw it on the floor the other day) but I'd love to show you this creation sometime.

At Bloomingdales tomorrow

Caramel Vanilla has creeped in as a staple these past few weeks. Every other order includes Caramel Vanilla. I am looking forward to some old favorites taking center stage in the fall. Speaking of which, can you believe summer's almost over?
