Pink Cupcakes, Pink Cause!

Hello everyone!

As you know, we're now at Phipps Plaza, and we've been getting a lot of love from our neighbor stores! So, we decided to show some neighborly love while helping a great cause at the same time. Belk, our next door neighbor, is having a special guest over on Friday - Nancy Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will stop by Belk to make a special announcement and sign copies of her book.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we at Lenox Cupcakes are advocates for a cure for breast cancer (and we like to start early, too). Breast cancer affects hundreds of thousands of women each year, and too many lives are lost to the disease. So, in honor of the event at Belk, we're baking pink cupcakes! Yes! And, all proceeds from the sale will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help in the fight against breast cancer! So stop by our store on Friday, September 24th and purchase a pink cupcake (or two) for the cause!



The Pink Cupcake is a Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cupcake filled with pink vanilla creme and topped with our signature vanilla buttercream.

Cupcake Bar at Swoozie's Tonight

Swoozie's is back! Yes! My favorite store for personalized invitations, paperie, and all kinds of snazzy gifts, is back and I couldn't be more excited. My friends and I mourned the loss of our favorite store's location in Brookwood and more recently sent each other "Swoozie's is back!" emails to announce the fact that they were moving to a new store in Buckhead!

Now, not only is Swoozie's back, but thanks to Sharon of Sweet Sensations for the referral, Lenox Cupcakes will be setting up a Cupcake Bar at Swoozie's grand opening at Chastain Square tonight from 6-9pm. It is hard to tell you what this means to me. First of all, I love all things Swoozie's. I would be their mascot free of charge, if they asked me. Second of all, I have been admiring Sharon's work at Sweet Sensations for a while now. To get a call from her to do this is like winning the lottery. Nothing beats this. So, my friends, I am beyond excited and with more notice, I would have gladly dyed my hair pink and orange in honor of this awesome day. Alas, I've got to be all professional about it :-)

Lenox Cupcakes at Phipps Plaza Now Open!

Finally! We are now open for business at Phipps Plaza. This past Saturday was our first official day and we've been having a blast ever since. Our new neighbors have been extremely warm and supportive. They were the first to try our cupcakes and refer their customers to us. On Saturday, we scrambled to keep our case full but by Sunday, we were fully armed with cupcakes. Right now, we are doing twelve flavors a day with two being daily specials offered that day only. That might change because the English Toffee we introduced on Saturday was a huge hit. Our ten flavors available daily are:

We’re really, really close

I hate to keep saying this but we’re really, really close to opening. Seriously. We were going to open today but our A/C’s not working. I realized there was a problem and called a guy that I just knew would fix the problem. I went about my business and came back to find a note on a yellow sticky “P.S: Your A/C’s not working” and he left a number to another company. I called the other company and they said they would come early next week. We called a few other companies and nada. No way! We were trying to open like Sunday! Arrrrrrrrrrrgh! We told everyone that stopped by! We told our web guy to make changes to the website! We told everyone! And now, we have to write this: We’re really, really close and will open as soon as our A/C is fixed. It’s no joke standing in front of the store so imagine what it must be like working with the ovens going in the back! In the meantime, we’ll continue to crank out our online orders for delivery. We didn’t expect this but please bear with us. Apparently there are a lot of people that need A/Cs right now and we’ve just joined the queue.

Lenox Cupcakes Getting a Storefront?

Yes, we are!!! We are pleased to announce that Lenox Cupcakes will be opening our first storefront before the end of the summer. Our new location is at Phipps Plaza, next to Belk on the second level. This is really huge for us and we are excited to share this great news with you. More details to come!
